BLS Instructor Course

COURSE COST: $309.99      TIME ESTIMATE: 7-8  HOURS

Audience

For any person who wants to learn how and be certified to teach American Heart Association BLS, BLS Renewal and Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED classes and BLS and Heartsaver® Skills Sessions.

*The Class is for students who have a current BLS Provider certification.

Objectives

The AHA’s BLS Instructor Course prepares instructor candidates to teach all AHA BLS and Heartsaver® courses (BLS, Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED, Pediatric First Aid CPR AED & Bloodborne Pathogens).

Length

– 2 hour BLS Instructor Essentials online precourse assignment;

– 6-7 hour in-person instructor class with a DVD presentation, practical application, written exam and skills test; 

– Monitored teaching. 

Prerequisites

Current BLS Provider certification.

Heartsaver® Instructor Course

COURSE COST: $309.99      TIME ESTIMATE: 7-8  HOURS

Audience

For any person who wants to learn how and be certified to teach American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED classes and Heartsaver® Skills Sessions.

*The Class is for students who have a current BLS Provider or Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED certification. 

Objectives

The AHA’s Heartsaver® Instructor Class prepares instructor candidates to teach all AHA Heartsaver® courses (First Aid CPR AED, Pediatric First Aid CPR AED & Bloodborne Pathogens).

Length

– 2 hour Heartsaver® Instructor Essentials online precourse assignment;

– 6-7 hour in-person instructor class with a DVD presentation, practical application, written exam and skills test; 

– Monitored teaching. 

Prerequisites

Current Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED or BLS Provider certification.

ACLS Instructor Course

COURSE COST: $509.99      TIME ESTIMATE: 7-8  HOURS

Audience

For any person who wants to learn how and be certified to teach American Heart Association ACLS and ACLS Update classes and ACLS Skills Sessions.

*The Class is for students who have a current ACLS Provider certification.

Objectives

The AHA’s ACLS Instructor Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC, as well as the 2019 Update to the 2018 ASA Ischemic Stroke Guidelines. The ACLS Instructor Course teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

– 2 hour ACLS Instructor Essentials online precourse assignment;

– 6-7 hour in-person instructor class with a DVD presentation, practical application, written exam and skills test; 

– Monitored teaching. 

Prerequisites

– Current BLS & ACLS Provider cards,

– Ability to interpret ECGs,

– Experience as an ACLS provider, and

– Complete the ACLS Instructor Essentials Online (available when registering)

PALS Instructor Course

COURSE COST: $509.99      TIME ESTIMATE: 7-8  HOURS

Audience

For any person who wants to learn how and be certified to teach American Heart Association PALS, PALS Update and PEARS® classes and PALS Skills Sessions.

*This Class is for students who have a current PALS Provider certification.

Objectives

The Instructor Candidates who complete this training program will be certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the AHA as a PALS Instructor.  With this training, you can teach how to reduce the mortality of pediatric patients using skills and treatments of potential and actual pediatric victims of cardiopulmonary emergencies. Skills include respiratory management, defibrillation, cardioversion, IO insertion, fluid administration, and team dynamics, emphasizing high-quality CPR. American Heart Association certification eCard provided.

– 2 hour PALS Instructor Essentials online precourse assignment;

– 6-7 hour in-person instructor class with a DVD presentation, practical application, written exam and skills test; 

– Monitored teaching. 

Prerequisites

– Current BLS & PALS Provider cards,

PEARS Instructor Course

*This Class is for students who have a current PEARS® Provider certification.

Objectives
